So Ikat. I’ve really been putting this one off, I just didn’t know how to go about it. And I felt even more daunted after seeing other peoples amazing designs on the Link thing, and reading about other peoples difficulty with it. Eeek. So I decided to use a cotton bud instead of my thin brush, I just didn’t think I’d be able to get all those jaggy lines that Ikat seems to be about. The cotton bud did indeed make the shapes ragged or at least fuzzy looking, and I just went for safe blues as I didn’t want to over complicate the pallet. I messed up my index finger something silly because that was the first one I did, but I eventually got into the swing of it kinda… (And I don’t want to sound like a bawheed because I’ve said this two posts in a row now but, I actually quite like it!)

Hey, you finally tackled the beast! It was my least favourite one, too, probably because I had never done one before, but it turned out just fine, as did yours. Nice work – looks good. 🙂
