So here’s some really simple autumnal nail art. Again, I was in the mood for having painted nails but didn’t have the time or motivation for anything excessive.

Minimalist Coffee Anyone?…
So after painting this design all I could see was some sort of deconstructed latte art – anyone else or just me?
I’ve still not got my mojo back (or time) for painting nails but I was bored of seeing them blank, this kind of quick nail art was perfect for my mood.
Welcome to Autumn…
So I’ve been sitting on this nail art since September, it’s just that I couldn’t get my butt in to gear to edit the pictures and write a post. I used my Pusheen calendar as the source image and just sort of copied it like for like.
As I’m so out of practice, my painting isn’t the neatest but I still think it turned out cute!
Fish Totes…
So when I say fish totes, I don’t mean totes for fish but totes of fish. Hand-printed fish on 100% recycled cotton totes to be exact. (Spoiler, one design actually isn’t a fish but a crustacean).
Please let me introduce my three new designs that I released at the start of the month – flounder, mackerel and crab. Which is your favourite? You can find them listed in my Etsy Shop if you’re interested in reading some hilarious puns.
The beachy shots were taken in South Queensferry (with the assistance of my mum, thanks mum). It’s worth a visit if you’re ever close enough – there’s great independent shops, ice cream parlours, cafes, restaurants, a few pubs and also the lovely beach. It’s where I do all of my sea glass picking and driftwood hunting!
HOLT – Faux Cow Skull…
(Holt has been lucky enough to find a home, but there are currently others still looking for one listed in my Etsy Shop)
Holt is a charming and reliable member of the Forest Creature family. He helps in the important task of guarding small woodlands from harm to allow them to grow in to mature forests. He features reindeer moss, faux succulents and driftwood horns so does not have any plant care demands. He has been hand sculpted from air drying clay and then carefully painted in woody tones.
Holt is designed to be hung on the wall and therefore has a simple hole for hanging (e.g easy to place on to a picture hook or nail). He will arrive nestled in tissue paper and securely tied down within a tear strip postal box – all the packaging is recyclable.
Measurements (Length x Width)
Skull = 6″ x 2.5″ / 15cm x 6.5cm
Skull + Horns = 7″ x 8″ / 18cm x 21cm
Materials;
Air-drying Clay
Driftwood
Faux Succulents
Reindeer Moss
As the skulls are handcrafted it naturally makes them all unique. However they all belong to one of the four collective families (Forest Creatures, Desert Dwellers, Galaxy Explorers, Ocean Wanderers) but I give them all a personal name to reflect their uniqueness, individuality and personality.
ATLAS – Faux Cow Skull…
(Atlas is listed in my Etsy Shop as he’s looking for a home)
Atlas is an elder of the Galaxy Explorer family; he is strong and reliable and is often turned to for help in times of unrest or confusion. He has been hand sculpted from air drying clay and then carefully painted with a beautiful galaxy. His horns are driftwood and he features a subtle piece of Hematite.
Hematite is the oldest known iron oxide mineral that has ever formed on earth. It is believed by some to calm nerves, boost self-esteem and aid focus. It is thought to provide an all round feeling of personal strength and security.
Atlas is designed to be hung on the wall and therefore has a simple hole for hanging (easy to place on to a picture hook or nail). He will arrive in a tear strip postal box, nestled in tissue paper and securely strapped down – all the packaging is recyclable.
Measurements (Length x Width)
Skull = 5.75″ x 3″ / 14.5cm x 8cm
Skull + Horns = 6.75″ x 7″ / 17cm x 18cm
Materials;
Air-drying Clay
Driftwood
Hematite
As the skulls are handcrafted it naturally makes them all unique. However they all belong to one of the four collective families (Forest Creatures, Desert Dwellers, Galaxy Explorers, Ocean Wanderers) but I give them all a personal name to reflect their uniqueness, individuality and personality.
Beach Pusheen…
So even though I don’t really like cats, I find Pusheen super cute. And therefore I have quite a bit of Pusheen merch including a monthly calendar. (If you follow me on Instagram and happen to watch my stories you have no doubt seen some of my ‘collection’.) I copied, to the best of my ability, this months picture which happens to be Pusheen having a stroll along the beach. Cute.
ZALE – Faux Cow Skull…
(Zale is currently listed in my Etsy Shop as he is looking for a home!)
A member of the Ocean Wanderer family Zale is a free spirit. Over the centuries Zale’s colour has been changing to reflect where he loves to spend most of his time – the ocean shallows.
Zale has been hand sculpted from air drying clay and paired with driftwood horns. He features an unusual branch of coral, two sea shells, a piece of sea pottery and a beautiful sea urchin shell under which he hides a precious treasure.
He is designed to be hung on the wall and therefore has a simple hole for hanging (e.g easy to place on to a picture hook or nail). He will arrive within a tear strip postal box, nestled in tissue paper but securely strapped down – all the packaging is recyclable.
Measurements (Length x Width)
Skull = 5.5″ x 2.75″ / 14cm x 7cm
Skull + Horns = 6.75″ x 4.5″ / 17cm x 11.9cm
Materials;
Air-drying Clay
Driftwood
Sea Shells
Sea Urchin Shell
Sea Pottery

Faux Pearl (it’s hiding, can you spot it?)
Floral deer decals…
So I wanted something on my nails but couldn’t be bothered to paint any nail art, so I grabbed some water decals. This one is from a big sheet of animal decals from BornPrettyStore which I’ve previously reviewed here. It’s a pretty handy set as it includes 120 ‘nails’ and includes several kinds of animals in all different colours so there’s something for every occasion.
Anyway, I went with an accent nail and tried colour match it’s base as best as I could, then added some dried flowers for a little extra.
LEIF – Faux Cow Skull…
(Leif is currently looking for a new home and is available to purchase from my Etsy shop)
Leif is fun and carefree, sometimes even a little mischievous but still well loved within the Forest Creature family. He wears his large succulent with great pride as it makes him very unique compared to other members.
Leif features reindeer moss, a large faux succulent and driftwood horns therefore has no plant care demands. He has been hand sculpted from air drying clay and then carefully painted in mossy tones.
He is designed to be hung on the wall so has a simple hole for hanging (e.g easy to place on to a picture hook or nail) and will arrive in tissue paper, securely tied down within a tear strip postal box – all the packaging is recyclable.
Measurements (Length x Width)
Skull = 5.5″ x 2.75″ / 14cm x 7cm
Skull + Horns = 7″ x 7.75″ / 18cm x 19.5cm
Materials;
Air-drying Clay
Driftwood
Large Faux Succulent
