Floral deer decals…

So I wanted something on my nails but couldn’t be bothered to paint any nail art, so I grabbed some water decals. This one is from a big sheet of animal decals from BornPrettyStore which I’ve previously reviewed here. It’s a pretty handy set as it includes 120 ‘nails’ and includes several kinds of animals in all different colours so there’s something for every occasion.

Anyway, I went with an accent nail and tried colour match it’s base as best as I could, then added some dried flowers for a little extra.

Sprinkling of Spring Flowers…

So my index nail has kind of recovered, but it’s still a horrendous shape. At least I know it’s growing and I didn’t do much, if any, permanent damage to it. As the weather has been quite sunny lately, and my tulips and daffodils have started to grow in the garden, I decided to crack out my tiny dried flowers for this design. I think they’re really cute and delicate, even though they’re a bit of a pain to work with; bits end up everywhere, some of them crumble to dust, sometimes they don’t lie flush and so on.

It looks a lot prettier in person as the photo didn’t really pick up the glitter, booo.

Autumn Dried Flowers…

So I purchased these dried flowers about a month back but I almost felt daunted to use them. Like ‘How do I really use them?’, ‘How do I make them look good?’ those sort of things going through my head. Also ‘Flowers aren’t appropriate for this time of year!’, I hear you say but remember it’s spring/summer somewhere and flowers can be Autumnal too, as I bought some funky looking orange/red blooms in Stirling at the weekend. (Check out my Instagram or Twitter for a pic!) So here they are the nails, I’m undecided on the result…
