Heavy Snow Fail…

So in my head this design was so beautiful – unfortunately it didn’t turn out that way on my nails… I wanted to have a sponged, snowy back ground with a touch of glitter and then different sized pearls to look like falling snow in the foreground. What I got just some weird, pearl mess. Maybe if you could scrunch your eyes up and look at it, the would look more like a snow blizzard? Thanks.SnowFail

  1. How about without the pearls but doing a gradient with the white snow flakes so they “pile up” at the nail tip? That would show the snow is falling and accumulating, huh?
That’s a great color blue and I really like the flaky white. Where did you get it, if it isn’t too much trouble?

    1. Yeah, I needed to do something else, it just didn’t look right. The blue is Huckleberry by Barry M, and the ‘flaky’ white is just sponged OPI white using an open textured sponge.

      1. Isn’t it funny how many types of sponges you need for nail art between makeup sponge for gradient and open hole for “snow flakes?” I guess you could also do the gradient with open hole sponge and create a different effect. (That’s a good topic for a n/a challenge, right?)
