So I hardly ever paint roses, because I just can’t. They always end up looking weird but fortunately I know other people have issues with them too, which makes me feel a whole heap better (even if that is kinda mean). I wasn’t going for hyper-realism when I painted these so I think I can get away with them!
First, the green polish you used is great! Also, the glittered polish for swirls is lovely and you executed the curves perfectly, I think. In whole, the roses and leaves look lovely and their colors perfectly adorn the green polish so it is a super mani and most interesting to figure out!!
TX much for sharing.
Oh thanks! The green polish is OPI ‘My gecko does tricks’, it’s a fantastic colour.
Unfortunately the curves are done by ‘nail vinyls’, I have explained in another post which is coming out on Wednesday but forgot I’d scheduled this one first! (I often paint my nails in advance multiple times and schedule posts just in case I get too busy)
As I used to say to my very petite daughter, “So long as your feet touch the ground.” Vinyls are fine if they help get the mani finished as you wish it to look, right?
I heard the polish name before but didn’t associate it with a particular color. I think it is soft yet strikingly pretty!
Haha true!
I agree in that it’s a really pretty colour, it seems quite popular on the other blogs just now too!
They look great! I love these colours, too – limes and corally pinks are one of my favourite colour combos. Nice!
Thanks! The limey green is Barry m ‘Key Lime’. The metallic green is OPI ‘My gecko does tricks’ which is just one of the best names for a polish!
