Blue Ombre on Ombre…

So I’ve painted green and pink ombre on ombres now here’s a blue one! If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I did a few sketches which I’m just trying to work my way through. Nothing more to say about it really!

  1. Aha! I figured it out: divide the nail into vertical thirds and then gradient on a sponge, first applying to the sides and then switching taped sections so middle is exposed and turn sponge around so colors are reversed! Great idea to use same motif within pattern to get variation yields interest!!

    1. Haha yup! You got it! I painted a gradient, then covered up the middle section with tape so I could then sponge on top in the opposite direction. I find sponging gradients is really fun because they can look so different with other colours.
