Pokemon Theme: Drowzee and Hypno

So unfortunately Drowzee was pretty boring to paint, when I looked at him and tried to draw any sketches nothing jumped at me – apart from his chocolate, custard flan colour combo so that’s what I painted. Hypno however, I’m super chuffed with, I was trying to catch the movement of his pendulum and I think I’ve achieved it. He’s a bit of a creepy pokemon actually, look him up if you don’t know what I’m talking about!

  1. Okay, I know admittedly very little about the Pokeworld – is there actually a character that’s made out of caramel flan? Because that would be STUPENDOUS. These are super cute – I like the hand. I can’t do that kind of stuff for crap. Nice work. 🙂

    1. Haha naah, well maybe in the later series there’s a Pokemon that’s basically a bunch of keys… It got pretty bad for a while… I’d fear for it’s safety if there was such a being though, I could see it going extinct pretty quickly.

Thanks for the hand compliment! I started to stress about it the more I looked at it, like I started seeing it as those tiny bunches of ‘kids’ bananas and got concerned enough to contemplate adding knuckles. I just had to stop and walk away. I realise that following the udders and now this, you probably think I’ve got OCD or something, I honestly don’t, I just over think things….

      1. Those udders were awesome and you should apologize for them NEVER! I sometimes do the same thing – I’ll find a little something about a mani that bothers me, and five minutes later I’ve nearly destroyed it with my dithering.
