MiniManiMonth ‘Boudoir’…

So I was going to do a santa costume for this colour, it was just that kind of red, but thought that was too obvious. I then decided to to a ‘twist’ on Candy Canes by using negative nail space. I don’t quite know if that concept worked, they’re pretty removed from candy canes, but I think it looks cool anyway. I’ve ran out of striping tape so all those lines were hand painted, a little wobbly but not that bad!

    1. Believe it or not, that’s just my nail colours with Save The Nail ‘Bridge the Ridge’ as a base coat. (It’s a fantastic ridge filler that makes your nails super smooth)

      1. I think I ordered a ridge filler a couple of weeks ago but my nails and hand skin have been so bad lately that I didn’t even do a mani. They seem to be a little softer so maybe I’ll try to do them again soon.

I think that when I added some shea butter chunks to a cuticle concoction with carrier oils and cuticle “improvers” like vit E and zapped the whole plastic container in the microwave for too long, the plastic container melted and, after that, the “concoction” I was able to save made my skin hard instead of soft and who knows what it did to my brain?

I am about to do a new potion with my recipe, a combination of other recipes for making cuticles nice and soft and, also, I think, for making nails strong. The last time I made it up, my hand responded excellently until I melted the plastic into the blend.

      2. Haha that does not sound good! I hope your skin has recovered and the plastic bag won’t melt this time. My skin has been very dry lately too, I think it’s the cold weather. I use burts bees lemon butter cuticle cream, which works for me, but I haven’t actually tried any other brand. (p.s Do you write a blog? When I click on your gravatar it doesn’t take me to anywhere.)

      3. I spend so much time online reading blogs that I don’t get anything else done, period! But once I get caught up, I might start blogging; at least that would be “productive.” I have learned a lot from the time I spent on nail art, so far, though.
