So here is another possible entry for the Essential Nails Competition, but I don’t think it’s going to be the one. I started off doing the usual dotting tool scale effect. I liked it, but it just wasn’t ‘wow’ enough for me and resorted to adding a glitter top coat. Unfortunately it turns out it looked better without the glitter, whoops!
No, no, no! Without the glitter, it is a somewhat boring dotticure in too-matching-group fall colors that needs some sort of “POP!”
One coat of the fine-glitter top coat, though, and it has a totally, much more interesting, even “captivating,” look! (Your subconscious must be “very artistic.” Even you don’t know what you are doing “inside.”)
I think the tiny dots give real fall flavor of all the mess on the ground from fallen leaves.
PLEASE NOTE: The above is only my own impression and I often/much-of-the-time am wrong, so if people don’t agree with me, I won’t be surprised.
I really like what you just showed us!
Wow, thanks very much! I’m glad you agree that it was a bit boring without the glitter and I’m happy that you think it works so well together.
What is the kind/name of the topper that has such tiny black glitter, please? (I don’t think I ever saw that and I think the effect is really nice!)
I’m afraid it’s actually a copper coloured glitter, it just shows up black in my photographs. But it’s a Technic polish called ‘Bedazzled’.
Thanks very much. I really liked that look!
